Aframax Characteristics

INTRODUCTION
This document presents the characteristics of the Aframax vessel used by DNV for the estimation of
the conditional cargo oil spill probability and cargo oil spill size distribution for bottom and side
damages. The description of the model is described in Section 9.1.1 of the TERMPOL 3.15 element
and will not be reminded in this note.

AFRAMAX CHARACTERISTICS
The DNV classed Aframax tanker is a modern designed vessel with double hull and single continuous
centerline oil tight longitudinal bulkhead. Its characteristics are provided in the table below:
